AAA Western and Central New York is pleased to announce the promotion of Russell Burr to Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Burr previously served as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst for AAA. In his new position, he will continue to work out of AAA’s Amherst headquarters.

In his role as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Burr will direct the process of collecting reliable budget and forecast data in an efficient and transparent manner. In addition, he will be responsible for monitoring and communicating key financial metrics to all levels of management. 
 

“Decide the promise you’re making, then deliver,” said Burr of his approach to this new career opportunity. “I hope to shift focus from system and workflow maintenance toward analyzing results and opportunities for improvement while contributing simplified and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics and statistics with proven, strong links to strategic goals.”
 

Burr joined AAA in 2019. He has 22 years of auditing, public accounting, and private industry accounting experience. He attended Niagara University and the University at Buffalo.
 

A lifelong Western New Yorker, Burr grew up on Grand Island and currently resides there with his wife Charity. The two were married last September. Burr is a father to three children. In his free time, he enjoys music composition, outdoor activities like camping and hiking, and building and construction.
