AAA Western and Central New York has hired Michael Friel as Senior Project Manager. Mike joins AAA with an extensive background in Information Technology. He has covered all aspects of customer-facing environments in industries ranging from healthcare and utilities to cable and banking. His experience also includes technical support in call center environments.

“AAA is a really good fit for my background,” Mike said. “And I was immediately impressed with AAA’s culture and welcoming environment.”

As Senior Project Manager, Mike will see projects from start to finish as part of AAA Western and Central New York’s digital transformation.

“I’ll be managing multiple projects in different phases that will directly impact customer service and satisfaction,” he said. “The rewarding part is seeing a project from conception to delivery to adaptive use.”

Mike is an alumnus of St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY. Originally from Ellicottville, he currently resides in Elma with his wife, and they have two daughters.

When Mike isn’t busy managing multiple IT projects, he enjoys visiting the Finger Lakes region or rooting for Buffalo sports teams. “I also enjoy fixer-upper, DIY projects,” he said. “I’m always doing something along those lines, and I enjoy being outdoors in the summer.”
